Maps?

Hi guys I just installed project 2002. I love it much better than 99. Also if this is the wrong spot for this sorry.

Are there any downloadable maps for zones that don't have any like innothule swamp ?

should be able to get the maps from http://www.mapfiend.net/index.php?pageid=maplist

just so you know, Maps are disabled for most of the world. only citys Pok and newbie yards have maps enabled afaik

Thanks Tollen, I'll try that. Why are they disabled? I have far from memorized the zones. It's a pain to try to play when you don't know where to go.

Honestly, its been a heated debate to have a GPS in game (Essentially what the maps are, many people just open the map window up and stare at it, vs staring at the world).

Limiting maps to just the starting cities is a basic rule where as removing all map functionality would require client edits and modified DLL's similar to what P99 has done. We are against that intrusiveness (Nothing wrong with it, just not inline with our goals).

Thanks guys! So I tried mapfiend but it the download is currently down. So if the maps are disabled outside of noobie zones and cities is it even possible for me to get an in game map for zones like innothule swamp? Thanks

I found http://www.allakabor.com/eqatlas/atlas.html to be helpful for zone maps - most importantly they show where the book is in zones.
